Reebok MENA and Freakin’ Healthy
Reebok once again partners with Freakin’ Healthy for a second edition of KONNECT in celebration of International Yoga Day
After the successful run of the pilot season of KONNECT last Ramadan, Reebok MENA and Freakin’ Healthy are back for another one. The continuation of the series aims to emphasize the message of “Connecting you to a better version of yourself” through the platform in celebration of International Yoga Day. A week-long of live professional virtual yoga classes and social media activations highlights this season of KONNECT. Headlining the campaign is Reebok’s very own Yoga Collection from apparel to yoga mats, along with Freakin’ Healthy® new Caramel Almond Bites flavour.
Anyone can sign up here, from 15 June to 21 June to a series of yoga classes for all levels catering to all audiences which will be held live daily virtually. Reebok and Freakin’ Healthy have partnered with four yoga experts from UAE and KSA to make this campaign possible. Bringing in their expertise and sharing tips and various benefits of yoga will be Norah, Kelsi, Charles, and Sara. The 30 to 45 minutes of virtual yoga sessions will be available through pre-registration that opens on 8 June, Tuesday, through Reebok’s and Freakin’ Healthy’s Instagram Accounts. Classes will be limited to 30 people per session allowing for a more intimate and unique approach to each class. The activation will build up to an epic social media giveaway from both Reebok and Freakin’ Healthy with a full Reebok outfit and yoga mat and a hamper filled with Freakin’ Healthy’s delicious snacks.
Kicking off the classes on Tuesday, 15 June, is Norah, who will be teaching Hatha yoga for all levels and a heart opening session. Her session on Hatha yoga includes meditation and breathing along with a gentle Hatha flow and a breathing exercise for every move, with a focus on the hamstrings and the lower back. Norah will also cap off the week with the final class on 21 June.
A multi-style yoga instructor, Kelsi, has been practicing yoga for a decade and a half. She will be hosting the sessions on 16 and 18 June, with classes on Vinyasa Yoga for Level One and Two and a special class for beginners on mindful breathing, movement, and meditation.
Sharing her knowledge on Stress Release and Hatha Flow will be Sara. Based in KSA, Sara is a Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance. Her sessions on 17 and 19 June will be on Hatha Flow which is a more classical style of yoga that requires more strength and stamina, and a session on Stress Release which is a relaxing and gentle style of yoga suitable for all levels.
The session on 20 June will be lead by Charles, who is an Ashtanga Yoga practitioner. He will be sharing his expertise on Modified Ashtanga Yoga for beginners which primarily involves synchronizing breath with progressive and continuous postures, which produces internal heat while detoxifying the body. It builds strength, flexibility, and stamina, while calming the mind and improving overall health.
