Aventura, Dubai’s new family adventure park located in Mushrif Park’s Ghaf tree forest, is now open for another exciting season. Bringing back the most daring circuits and thrilling obstacles to Dubai residents, students and tourists; from tree-surfing and zip-lining to rope-climbing, for the ultimate adrenaline rush.

Ghaf tree forest in Mushrif Park Dubai
Set amongst a 35,000 square meter natural Ghaf tree forest in Mushrif Park, Aventura Nature Adventure Park offers an experience like nothing else. What sets it apart is the unique adventure experience within the natural Ghaf tree forest. This indigenous species is drought tolerant, evergreen and extremely sturdy in the harsh desert environment. The venue encourages guests to get back to nature and embrace what the desert offers naturally.
For a full day of adventure and fun, the park has set numerous challenging and thrilling obstacles and rides. The 25-meter Tarzan Jump, the hanging Parrot Trunks, and the Surfboard Challenge through the trees, part of the Xtreme circuit, are the park’s heart stoppers. And, if you prefer your thrills at high altitudes, go for Thriller, the park’s most exhilarating series of zip lines, that features a 10-meter high and 160-meter long zip-line across the forest.
There’s plenty for the young adventurers too. The Rangers circuit, perfect for children above 1.15m and older than 6 years, includes 19 fun obstacles, just 1.5 to 2 meters high, where parents can walk through the circuit as their children zigzag around the greenest part of the park.
The second season also features a calendar of special events, such as a Full Moon outdoor party in November, and an exciting Camp event for the December holidays. The park is also available for birthday parties and group bookings and offers field trip educational packages for schools. Through its Corporate Park, Aventura offers Leadership and Team Building programs, as well as private Events to Corporations, Government and other Organizations and groups. We recently visited the park to explore what it promises and it turned out pretty exciting. Below is the first-hand account of our young adventurer Eman Sami and here’s what she has to say;
As my mom and I were searching for parking at 9 am Monday morning at the Mushrif Park, we took note of UAE’s natural beauty that we often overlook. The silent hustling and bustling of staff members as they were adding their final touches seemed to calm my queasy nerves looking at the height of what I’ll be zip-lining through up to 10m off the ground.
The briefing was slightly overwhelming as getting the hang of it took some time, and I kept on confusing myself with the Pulleys & Carabiners, but once you try it, it automatically becomes easy. When I actually got to experience the obstacle courses by myself it was quite exhilarating, I had to climb up ladders so I could walk across hanging logs balancing myself in thin air. At that point, I had lost my groupmates, but it felt like I was a lone rouge destined to zip-line forever alone. The feeling amongst the bushy greens was almost spiritual.
The courses were long and a good workout too! I climbed through this one green net whilst pushing all my gears to the front so they don’t hold me back and alas! I was finally at the top, ready to zip-line and leave that hard work behind. I was excited, I took one step forward, then 2, then 3 and hung my gear on the cables ready to feel the wind and gaze at the scenery enjoying my solitude…and that was until I looked down …bad mistake, don’t ever do that if you’re afraid of heights. I sucked up my unnecessary anxiety, sat down and finally pushed myself off the ledge.
It felt different. Looking at everything from up high, since it was fast the ride didn’t last too long but there were much more on the go. I had fun, it was a new type of outing which was exciting and offered real fun, I hope to go again in the future.
