Kaffe Bloom Dubai
Dubai welcomes the first specialty coffee shop in The Greens. Whether you are local or need to trek across town, Kaffe Bloom located inside 1004 Gourmet at Onyx Tower will be well worth it. Serving up specialty coffees and delicious Asian desserts, the cafe offers elevated views across Sheikh Zayed so you can literally watch the world go by.
Coffee connoisseurs should be ready to have their taste buds tantalized. With beans jetted in from the leading roaster in Europe, THE BARN, Kaffe Bloom has perfected the brew. Vietnamese coffee joins the lineup for those looking for a stronger and more distinct taste, created with sweetened condensed milk it is the perfect ‘pick me up’. If you have some time, enjoy the baristas brewing you a nice cup of manually brewed coffee made with precision. End the experience with a sweet treat with its famed Italian Affogato. Created with a hot espresso shot and a scoop of artisanal ice cream made by locally operated Canvas Gelato for an Insta worthy dessert.
Kaffe Bloom also brings the art of tea to Dubai. From Sencha tea where whole Japanese leaves are placed into hot water to Hojicha Japanese green tea, which is roasted in a porcelain pot over a high temperature altering the leaf color tints from green to reddish brown, tea aficionados can rejoice. For those wanting to get a little more adventurous, Green Tea Cold Brew is a refreshing twist on traditional tea. The tea leaves are brewed in cold water for 4 hours which brings out the subtle sweetness and leaves out the bitter flavors. What would tea be without dessert? With fluffy Japanese cheesecake and Matcha Roll Cake on offer, we can’t think of a better excuse.
Whether you have a sweet tooth or not, you can’t help but be tempted by Bingsoo as its known in Korea, or Kakigori as its known in Japan. A popular shaved ice dessert is topped with delicious treats from fruits to syrup and red bean paste to the mochi rice cake. Beginning with a block of ice, the process unfolds with it being shaved into layers of flakes as thin as paper by a special machine brought in from Japan. The Kaffe Bloom team then work their artisanal magic by building a fragile ice tower which soaks up the homemade juices whilst maintaining the fluffy texture that simply dissolves in your mouth.
Not as easy as it sounds, there is a secret to its creation. First, making sure the ice is as fine as possible but doesn’t melt too fast and secondly ensuring it’s not packed too tight to avoid clumps of ice. The beauty of shaved ice is the endless possibilities of flavors. Having just launched three classic flavors, which include milk, mango, and matcha green tea there isn’t a better time to try it. The team plans to launch new flavors every month focusing on seasonal fruits from around the world – you will want to watch this space.
