The Coffee Club Dubai – Review
This is where we meet!
A place that guarantees to offer more than just a cup of coffee, The Coffee Club, is fast becoming a foodie joint that attracts people of all ages regardless of their binge cravings, for there’s something for everyone.
An eclectic mix of delectable urban digs, The Coffee Cub offers exactly what we crave for each day and every day. With a menu that oozes with delicious choices for all types of meals, it is no wonder that the restaurant is quickly becoming the go-to restaurant for young adults, business & tech savvies and families with kids. A place to hang out with friends, family or like-minded individuals.
An Aussie café chain, The Coffee Club at Wasl Vita Mall Jumeirah, is more of an avatar of a bistro than a café serving over the counter coffee. This means that not only you get to enjoy your coffee or a quick snack over the counter, but if you are in a mood for a complete dinner/lunch/breakfast, you don’t have to look further. The Coffee Club serves an extensive menu tailored for all three meals of the day. What makes the concept interesting is that you can enjoy the comfort of a café with the offerings of a restaurant.
Dark with an industrial theme as well as moderate flashes of green, adds to the modern minimalistic yet comfortable feel of the restaurant. With a pretty large dining area furnished with wooden chairs and lounge sofas, gray walls and brightly lit yellow bulbs, the atmosphere is immediately inviting and makes you feel at home.
Since the restaurant offers all-day dining, the menu is extensive and offers a variety of options for breakfast, lunch, dinner, light meals and desserts. As we happened to be there at the time of dinner, we tried the dinner offerings. Starting with salad, we ordered Pomegranate & Date Salad from the Arabian Brunch section. With pearly red pomegranate, fresh dates, pistachio nuts, mixed with baby spinach, rocket, Italian dressing and feta crumbs, the salad was a deluge of flavors and texture in the mouth, with just the right amount of zest and sweetness. The serving size was great which makes it a meal in itself and a great choice for weight watchers.
For the main course, we ordered Salmon Nicoise Pesto. Although, I always feel skeptical ordering seafood for the mere doubt that it might not taste the way I like it, but this time I gave it a go since our server highly recommended it. The plating was artful and attractive, with grilled salmon atop of classic Nicoise salad with a modern twist, finished with fresh pesto sauce and microgreens adding the final touch. The Salmon tasted divine. Cooked to perfection, with a crunchy crust the Nicoise salad complemented the whole dish and the hint of pesto simply uplifted the flavor. It was probably the best seafood dish I’ve had in ages, and it gets two thumbs up from me.
Next, from the main course, I wanted to try something café style or rather a quick bite, So we ordered Double Cheese Bacon Burger, the signature burger with double cheese, double veal bacon, mustard mayonnaise, is actually a meal for two. This decadent beefy grub surpassed my taste expectation. I personally find restaurant burgers (besides the usual fast food chains) to lack flavor. But the Double Cheese Bacon Burger at The Coffee Club was exceptionally flavorful, the patty was soft, savory and juicy as the cheese also added to the mellowness of the taste, loaded with rocket and a dash of condiments to make it more flavorful. The dish came with the side of potatoes wedges.
We also tried Beef Lasagna that came along with toasted garlic bread, and loads of greens on top of the bubbling cheesy crust. The dish if perfect for those craving for the quintessential Italian favorite.
After the heart choices we made for the meal, I felt full and had no place for dessert, so, we opted for a rather interesting choice of dessert at the end; the dessert shake. The Caramel Shake at the Coffee Club is a similar take on the latest foodie mania (originated in Australia), the FreakShakes – an outrageously overindulgent, overloaded messy, creamy, thick shake topped with cream and piled with all sorts of toppings. In our case, it was caramel popcorns. As soon as the Mason jar filled with the milkshake and piled up with decadent goodies arrived, I was ready to unleash my gluttonous alter ego. Neglecting all that I have learned, researched and implemented in my life about calories and sugar intake, this shake is the most convenient ‘love at first sight’ I have had… The impossibly attractive display of loaded joy exuded with sweetness in a jar like never before. A small sip some moment later turned out to be the trip to heaven and beyond… The desert shake comes in three flavors, I recommend you try all. Period.
Before leaving I also tried The Coffee Club’s famous Latte. The coffee tasted strong which is exactly what all coffee lovers look for.
A place that delighted me to a point that I exactly know where to hang out with family and friends, The Coffee Club, is a place that offers something for everyone. The service is also at par with courteous staff helping you out with everything from the menu to recommendations.
The Aussie café chain, the Coffee club has also recently added more venues across the UAE, to reach out to more customers looking for a place to enjoy an all-day dining menu and the best cup of coffee. The menu also sees a number of new additions giving foodies plenty of scrumptious brunch items to try out.
