Blaze Burgers – the Walk JBR – Review
A walk to the Blaze Burgers – the Walk JBR – Review
Passion and idea-driven homegrown restaurant brands are the legitimate taste insiders. They are the connoisseurs of the palate that defines the culture of food in a region. Blaze Burgers is one such homegrown foodie joint now operational in Dubai the heart of UAE. Starting its journey in Bahrain a few years ago, Blaze Burgers has emerged as a name that proudly believes in crafting burgers from the scratch, keeping in mind the flavors and regional taste.
In order to learn more about the craft of burger, we headed to the joint located at the Walk JBR. Nestled in a lovely spot amidst the cobbled pathway of the Walk JBR, Blaze Burgers is a two-story restaurant with a rather coy exterior compared to a fully animated artsy interior. Inside the restaurant, a dominant theme of bold street art with futuristic and industrial flare resonates and expounds the idea of modernity and creativity.
As soon as you step into the restaurant a giant hard plastered wall immediately takes your attention to the walls with colorful graffiti and street art. Giant bots and suggestive epigrams painted on the walls and a neon-lit red atmosphere instantly transport you to an urban contemporary space throbbing with popular musical tracks…
Every detail inside the restaurant emanates modern and laid back vibes. With comfortable couch style seats and wooden tables, Blaze Burgers is an essential modern restaurant for the lovers of fast food and burgers.
Once seated we started scouted through the menu, which was rather crafty in nature. The menu is a smorgasbord of ingredients for personalizing your burger using a variety of in-house sauces, buns, types of burger patties and even dressings. Since we wanted to try a variety of flavors and types of burgers and sandwiches available, we experimented a little with different ingredients, which felt quite crafty and hands on.
Starting with the menu we ordered ‘Awesomeness Blaze’ Sandwich with tobogga topping. This sandwich has layers of cheese toppings that just blow up your mind. A thick beef patty stuffed with cheese sandwiched between two decadent grilled cheese toasts with lettuce, onion and tobogga sauce, oozes with melt in the mouth cheese. The Awesomeness Blaze burger is a delish account of binge and purge, perfect for when you are famished. It gets our total recommendation, for it also explains how serious Blaze burgers are about their craft.
For a more authentic burger experience, we ordered the Signature Burger which is certainly not to be missed. With a huge portions size that is good enough to share, the signature Burger with special Blaze Original topping is a quirky experience. With flavors that is evident with the first bite, the thick beef patty and soft bun created a gourmet intersection of meat and bread. The specialty sauce gave it the essential kick needed to uplift the flavor. Besides the burgers we also ordered the infamous Angry Fries, a spicy and piquant side order is a complete dish itself loaded with French fries topped with cheese and jalapeno and chili sauce, served in a skillet. This seriously hot and spicy fires with a cold lemonade or a thick shake is a dream come true for all the French fries lovers. It is also a good option for vegetarians.
Since we visited Blaze Burgers with kids, they impulsively fell in love with the place with its creative modern vibes and an animated feel. For the kids, we ordered Old School Single patty burgers with Texas BBQ topping and the other with mushroom and Swiss cheese sauce. Both the burgers were thoroughly enjoyed by the kids. BBQ sauce gave the burger a sweet and smoky taste whereas the mushroom and Swiss cheese added a more diverse taste to the burger. The best part of the Swiss cheeseburger was that it had a subtle nice and creamy aftertaste which made it stand out well amongst other sauces. We recommend it to those who want to experience something unusual and creative tastewise. The kids also tried Scooper Cajun, a side order of scoop-shaped French fries with Cajun spices and sauce. It was an outstanding side order. You can get any type of sauce and scoop it out with your Scooper Cajun and enjoy! The side also works well with soda or shakes. The kids also tried the Oreo Milkshake and the Superhero Milkshake both delicious and presented in a fancy way.
In the end, for dessert, we ordered the Salty Treat. The dessert was served in a skillet with a churros cup in the middles sitting on top of caramel sauce, with a soft scoop of vanilla ice cream, speckled with smarties, and chunks of salty bacon. The dessert was impressive and inventive made a bold statement by combining interesting ideas and ingredients together.
All in all Blaze Burgers is a great place to hang out with friends and family, for a casual meal. The food offerings are great and propound a creative menu for crafting your own burger. It is a place that offers a more diverse take on flavors that is not present in any other Burger joint.
